The Antennae Galaxies (NGC 4038/NGC 4039)

There are some things in the universe so large that it’s hard to comprehend, which is why we are so lucky to have a chance to photograph two galaxies merging, NGC 4038 and NGC 4039 are two galaxies, not so different from our own, that are involved in a 900 million year long galactic collision. This has resulted in starburst phase of rapid star formation as gas, dust, and even magentic fields become intertwined. It also looks like the universe is telling you that it loves you, which is pretty neat.
