Contrary to being separate entities, the Christmas Tree Cluster and the Cone Nebula are both encompassed within the single designation NGC 2264. This region is a stellar nursery, where young stars are forming amidst thick dust clouds. The interaction of these clouds, along with hydrogen and helium, fuels the birth of bright stars and generates a vibrant spectrum of colors.
