The Great Carina Nebula, The Carina Nebula, or just NGC 3372, is a massive area of nebulosity in the constellation of Carina. Spanning a whopping 230 light years it’s a complex structure containing multiple nebulae and star clusters. It’s the brightest nebula in the southern skies, and four times the size of the Orion Nebula. In the centre you can see the Keyhole nebula, and next to it the bright star is a dual star system called Eta Carinae, which is also obscured by yet another tiny nebula known as the Homunculus Nebula.
This one is a 4 panel mosaic, compared to the previous Carina entry which was only one panel on a smaller telescope
